Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica) Stinging nettle (Urtica dioica) has a rich history of use in nutrition and traditional medicine. Numerous bioactive components such as flavonoids, phenolic acids, amino acids, carotenoids, and fatty acids have been isolated from stinging nettle. Extracts from stinging nettle have demonstrated strong pharmacological antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-ulcer, anti-hyperglycemic, and antibacterial activities, as well as protective activity for the cardiovascular system (1). Due to these properties and its composition, stinging nettle has potential for use in type 2 diabetes and various cancerous and neurological conditions (2, 3, 4).

At our beekeeping farm, we harvested the nettle in the pristine nature of the Kočevje meadows, concentrated its active substances using a vacuum distillator, and mixed them with our organic honey. The result is our premium product: Organic Stinging Nettle with Honey.

USAGE (recommended):

  • Use of this product is discouraged for children under 12 years of age.
